The Digital Memoirs of Dan St James

Ive decided to start updating this again after clicking it the other day and realising I havent posted since June 2011, so much has happened within the last 8 months that it would be impossible for me to tell you it all, when I first came to Ibiza in April 2011 I had planned on staying till October and then going back to the UK, but October came and passed and my love affair with Ibiza wasnt over. Its now reaching the end of February almost a year after I came and I still couldnt imagine being somewhere else, coming here was mainly inspired by a friend saying “when you let someone be your other half, you become half a person, when you go your separate ways, your left searching for the pieces that once made you whole” I guess after everything that happened, the peice that made me whole was Ibiza. So I stayed the whole summer season at Bucaneros, and will be returning this season, the place feels like home. Right now Im working for a company that organises music festivals for the UK, it’s a good laugh. Since moving here I have moved residence 5 times, but Im now settled in a gorgeous apartment, of which I have posted the view from my balcony, Im living with a really good friend of mine, Chris, hes rediculously homosexual and is one of the reasons that I love living here, a true sweetheart that I have so much in common with. I wont go into details as to why Roxy doesnt live here anymore, things didnt work out for her being here or for us being friends. Im going to carry on updating this as often as I have any news to share either with the people back in the UK or for the purpose that I originally set this up, because Im rediculously forgettfull and like the idea of having somewhere to look to remember everything Ive done. There are so many things Ive done and acheived over the last few months, Im sure theyll come out over the next few months, my mind is mainly focused on whats to come as apposed to whats been, so many things are in the pipeline for this year, I look forward to telling you everything. love from a million miles away, D xoxo

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! So everyone back home has been asking me what Ive been doing and since I havent updated this for a month I thought it was the perfect way to tell you all in one go. I´m now working for Bucaneros selling laughing gas, i work 5 hours a night and generally go out 4/5 nights a week after work, everything out here is getting so much busier due to peak season begining, i love it. we have the official clubland and judgement sunday preparty in work, I´m meeting so many new people. I had a bit of drama last week where I was really starting to get home sick, it still shocks me thinking that ive been here for nearly 2 months now, but i feel alot better and now the only thing im really missing from the UK is sushi, strangely enough. I don´t really know what else you lot would like to know, but i´m safe, im happy and to answer the same question for the millionth time, yes, im eating just fine. love love love D xoxo

An Update.
Hola from sunny Ibiza! So I did it, I made the big move and I couldn´t be happier that I did, I´ve been here just over 2 weeks now, I love it! Me and Rox have been spending our days rollerskating and exploring the island and our evenings in and around san antonio testing every type of alcohol there is. I should start work next week providing there are more tourists here then, right now its just workers, but that doesnt mean to say that its been boring, we´ve already met loads of people and made quite a few friends along the way. Its only just starting to set in now that this isnt a holiday, I thought´I´d miss home alot more than I do, but when you wake up in the morning, the sun is shining and you can see nothing but beauty everywhere it becomes a little difficult to miss rainy cardiff. I´m gunna start wrapping this up now, we found a little shop in san antonio that sells home made ice cream, and I quite fancy a scoop :) stay beautiful xoxo p.s. please take a minute to laugh at Roxy´s pose as I just have.
